MEMBERSHIP Requirements


Membership Criteria

Associate Public Accountant - APA

  1. Passed all the examinations of PIPFA and acquired two years relevant experience before, during or after passing the examinations of PIPFA or,
  2. Membership of ICAP or ICMAP or,
  3. Fully qualified from ICAP/ICMAP or,
  4. Passed ICAP's PE-I or Group I or II of old C.A. Final or,
  5. Passed ICMAP's Upto Professional III or Upto part IV of old syllabus or,
  6. IDC Officers of Department of Auditor General of Pakistan (belonging to Audit & Accounts Service) who have passed FPO Examination of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) or,
  7. Qualified SAS Examination of Department of Auditor General of Pakistan or equivalent examination.

Fellow Public Accountant - FPA

  1. At least five years standing as an APA or,
  2. Fellow membership of ICAP or ICMAP.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  1. Membership as Associate Public Accountant - APA
  2. Prescribed Application Form duly filled in and signed.
  3. Prescribed Application Form duly filled in and signed.
  4. Two passport size photographs with name written on the reverse - one affixed on the Form the other attached.
  5. Copy of National Identity Card (NIC).
  6. Copies of educational certificates from Secondary School (Matric) onwards.
  7. Attested copies of the qualification based on which membership is applied (unattested copy acceptable in case of members of ICAP or ICMAP whose names are appearing in the Membership Directory of the respective institute).
  8. Copies of experience certificates.
  9. CV
  10. Demand Draft of Rs. 1,700 (Rs. 800 being Admission Fee and Rs. 900 being Annual Subscription for one year) in favour of PIPFA drawn on any bank branch at Karachi..

Membership as Fellow Public Accountant - FPA

  1. Prescribed Application Form duly filled in and signed.
  2. Two passport size photographs with name written on the reverse - one affixed on the Form the other attached.
  3. Copy of National Identity Card (NIC).
  4. Copies of educational certificates from Secondary School (Matric) onwards.
  5. Copy of ICAP/ICMAP Membership Certificate.
  6.   Copies of experience certificates.
  7.   CV
  8. Demand Draft of Rs. 1,800 (Rs. 800 being Admission Fee and Rs. 1000 being Annual Subscription for one year) in favour of PIPFA drawn on any bank branch at Karachi..

Elevation of Membership from APA to FPA

  1. Application on plain paper addressed to Executive Director, PIPFA, for elevation from APA to FPA on completion of five years as APA.
  2. C.V
  3. Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000 being Annual Subscription for the year as FPA (differential of APA and FPA Subscription payable in case Annual Subscription already paid for the year at APA's rate).
