For
the first time, a candidate has to attempt only one
Stage of Examination. The candidate who has once attempted
the Foundation examination (but could not clear the
same wholly or partly) can next time attempt both Intermediate
and Foundation examinations simultaneously. The candidate
who has once attempted Intermediate Stage can appear
in Final and Intermediate stages simultaneously provided
he has completely cleared (by passing or exemption)
the Foundation Stage. In no case a candidate is allowed
to appear in more than two Stages at a time.
The candidates studying in B. Com are at present allowed
to directly appear in the non-exempt papers of Intermediate
Stage in anticipation of exemption to be available upon
their qualifying B. Com and resultant clearance of Foundation
Stage completely.
BASIS OF PASSING
Examinations of Foundation and Intermediate
stages can be passed on paper to paper basis.
But the Final Sage examination is to be passed
as a group with the following exception:
a.
A
candidate who secures 'A Grade' in any subject
of Final Stage is allowed permanent pass
in only that subject.
b.
A
candidate who is successful in all papers
of Final Stage except in one paper may be
referred and allowed to take at the two
immediately succeeding examinations that
paper or a section of the paper again instead
of reappearing in all the papers.
A
candidate who has failed to pass or has not
attempted any paper or papers of any stage may
offer himself again for that paper or papers
on any subsequent occasion in such manner and
within such period as may be prescribed by PIPFA
from time to time.
